What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The Conference Centre is located a short drive from beautiful downtown Ottawa and a few minutes both the Ottawa Train station and MacDonald-Cartier International Airport.

Where can I find accommondations during the conference?

The conference centre is conveniently located attached to the Courtyard Marriott Hotel.

Will there be food options for those with dietary restrictions?

We are committed to accommodating all dietary needs. Whether you have food allergies, religious restrictions or food intolerances, we will do our best to accommodate these requests.  Please notify event planners of any dietary needs by no later that Wednesday October 10, 2018.  Please contact

Is the venue accessible?

The conference venue is fully wheelchair accessible with an automated sliding glass door front entrance, accessible washrooms, parking and elevators and plenty of space for Para-Transpo bus drop offs and pickups.  We are also ensuring the conference is accessible for those with sensory sensitivities.  

What’s the refund policy?

Request for refunds will be honoured up until September 18, 2018. Please contact for more information.

Is there a special rate for Survivors?

Both days of the conference have been priced at a lower rate to enable accessibility to all, so we encourage everyone to budget accordingly leading up to the conference.  We have included an option for individuals to donate funds towards the registration of a survivor for the full day conference on Thursday October 18, 2018.  Dependent on the total of donations we received, we will hold a lottery on Monday October 1st, 2018 for donated registrations.  If you would like to be considered for the lottery, please send your name, email address and phone number to 

Please Note: There is no cash value and only one submission per individual will be considered.  There will not be any donated registrations through Brain Injury Canada for the Friday October 19, 2018 half day conference.

Can I donate funds for a survivor to attend?

Absolutely and we encourage anyone to donate even a small amount towards the cost of a registration for a survivor.  All donations of $20 or more will be sent a tax receipt for income tax purposes.
